Accelera X-Grip
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Winter weather traction

- Fuel efficient performance
OVERVIEW
The Accelera X-Grip is a touring, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model also has some high performance sizes as well.
The tire combines its winter compound and directional tread pattern to improve the winter traction. The winter compound with the durable winter rubber elements increases the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures. On the other hand, the high-density siping placement heightens the number of biting edges gripping the road surface. The wide circumferential and angled lateral grooves channel water and slush from the footprint, resisting hydroplaning. The tread pattern is pinned for studs, which can be added to further improve the ice and snow grip.
The tread design upgrades the controllability as well. The directional tread pattern and the flat footprint work together to closely follow the road surface during the drive. This not only boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability, but also the tire's overall maneuvering. The better road contact ensures a quicker and more precise steering responsiveness, while it also stabilizes the structure against the driving pressure. This tread design also improves the maneuvering and cornering ability with the better surface grip. The directional pattern's siping placement creates friction between the tire and the road surface, decreasing the braking ability. In this manner, the tire is able to enhance driver's control over the vehicle.
The X-Grip features a lighter internal construction. This lowers the overall tire weight, which minimizes the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the driving pressure affecting the tire which determines the vehicle's needed fuel intake in order to keep the tires in motion. The decreased rolling resistance lessens the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, which guarantees a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly driving experience.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
